EMCOR Group, Inc. Subsidiary Receives Mechanical And Energy Systems Contract For Seattle Metro Transit's Center

NORWALK, CONNECTICUT, February 1, 2008 - EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses globally, announced that its subsidiary Design Air, Ltd. has been awarded a contract to upgrade the mechanical and electrical systems for Seattle Metro Transit’s Central Base Facility and Revenue Processing Center, a 22-acre complex that maintains and houses a fleet of nearly 400 buses.

 

Design Air will provide new radiant heating, lighting, and bus exhaust and HVAC systems for the Central Base Facility office and shop areas. The company will also provide a new HVAC system and lighting package in the Revenue Processing Center and a gas-fired hot water boiler and chiller system; increase the building’s natural gas pressure and install associated piping; seismically protect piping and equipment; and provide, modify, and repair electrical systems and roofing to accommodate all contract improvements. Because the entire facility will remain in operation throughout the construction period, Design Air also will provide the temporary power, heating, ventilation, materials, and equipment necessary to maintain operations at all times.
